This scheme (Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme) has been implemented optionally for all the state employees of Rajasthan state. Which is for the period from 1st May 2024 to 30st April 2025.

All state employees and personnel of various autonomous institutions who are on deputation are included in the scope of the scheme. It is issued by the Rajasthan State Insurance and Provident Fund Department to cover various types of accidents and damages. Earlier it covered only a certain amount of insurance.

Keeping in mind the needs in the present scenario and based on the demands of the personnel, the following slabs have been included in it –

Personnel covered under the policy :

• All personnel appointed on 30.04.2024 and before will be covered from 01.05.2024. Provided that the premium of all of them is deposited by 31.05.2024.
• All personnel appointed on and after 01.05.2024 will be covered from the day of premium deduction or deposit. The premium of such personnel is to be deposited on prorata basis.
• If such personnel do not want to take deduction, then they will be given benefits from the department as per “Mukhyamantri Ayushman Accident Insurance Scheme” in this year.
• Police department personnel and officers will not be covered under this scheme, because a separate GPA (Policemen) scheme is being run for them.
• The budget head under the scheme will be 8011-00-107-01-00.

Some important points under the scheme (Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme) :

Some important instructions are as follows –

• Reduction of all personnel working in the state has to be ensured till 30.04.2024. The amount of deduction is required to be deposited in budget head 8011-00-107-01-00 by 31.05.2024.
• For those employees who take salary offline, DDO should ensure that the insurance amount is compulsorily deposited by making a challan through e-gras in the budget head 8011-00-107-01-00.
• If due to some reason the salary is not being made then the DDO should ensure that the insurance amount is compulsorily deposited by making a challan through e-gras in the budget head 8011-00-107-01-00.
• If the employee wants to make changes in his nominee or deduction, then he will have to apply online through the portal.
• If the employee does not want any change, then the DDO will ensure the deduction on the basis of the deduction made in the previous year.
• The policy is to start from 01.05.2024. Hence, the personnel who are retiring on 30.04.2024. They should not be cut.
• If the appointment is after 30.04.2024. Then –

Premium * Days remaining till 30.04.2025 / 365
